Calvin’s 3×3 Triple Cube I gives you a challenge in a completely new shape. This is three regular 3×3 cubes joined together to form a single puzzle. If you put the puzzle down on a table, it will be possible to make all moves from the regular 3×3 cube except moves that adjust the top or bottom layer. The moves on the puzzle themselves slide surprisingly easily and almost correspond to a regular speedcube in how easily the layers turn. All in all, this makes the 3×3 Triple Cube I a high quality and interesting puzzle for those looking for new challenges.

Even though Calvin’s 3×3 Triple Cube I is really only three interlocking 3×3 cubes, this will be a significantly more difficult puzzle for you to solve. This is because you will not be able to use any of your algorithms that rotate the upper or lower layer when you tackle this puzzle. That said, you will still benefit greatly from being able to solve a 3×3 cube here. This is especially true if you are good at solving the cube by building and expanding blocks (block building methods). The puzzle also performs surprisingly well, and can even be adjusted with a standard screwdriver if you feel the puzzle is too fast or too slow.
