How to Lubricate a Cube with DianSheng Lube
The bottle has a narrow tip that helps you avoid applying too much silicone. The simplest way to lubricate your cube is to drop one drop into a gap between the pieces and then scramble the cube. On modern 3×3 speedcubes, the cubes often have small openings near the corner pieces, so you don’t even need to separate the pieces to access the inside. For a larger cube, you can add one drop per layer. Add more lube if needed. If you use a lot of silicone, the cube will become slower. The narrow tip on the bottle also makes it easy to lubricate even the smallest pieces in the core if you want to lubricate the cube more thoroughly.
Viscosity
In general, heavier silicone (with high viscosity) feels thicker and makes the cube feel soft and less fast. Lighter silicone (with low viscosity) usually makes the cube faster, but it’s thinner and less noticeable in terms of feel. Low viscosity also means the lubricant dries out faster. So, if you’re looking for a balanced lube, DianSheng Lube works well.
