Valk 3 Elite M

The Valk 3 Elite M is the third cube in the Valk-series from Qiyi. The cube is now lighter at 76 grams, and keeps its well-liked, slightly smaller size of 55.5m The cube is stable, soft and smooth to turn. The Valk 3 Elite M is magnetic which means the magnets will help you turn the layers to correct position. This gives you extra control and stability of the puzzle. The cube has a unique magnetic system, 96 magnets are built into it, instead of the standard 48. Doubling the amount of magnets gives the cube a different feeling to it and additionally the cube is extra magnetic for the middle layers (can be excluded, read more about the magnets below).

Magnets

The Valk 3 Elite M has a new magnetic system that we haven’t previously seen for cubes before. First and foremost, the cube has small magnets in edge- and corner pieces, just like we usually see. The new system includes magnets in the center pieces. These magnets are attracted towards the magnets in the edge pieces and the cube becomes even more magnetic as a result. To change magnet strength, you simply replace the center pieces, or rather the caps on the center pieces where the magnets are kept in capsules. There are three sets of center caps included. Red are the strongest magnets, green medium and the white ones have no magnets at all. Note that the cube will still be magnetic if you choose to use white magnets due to the magnets inside the edge- and corner pieces, which are there by standard. In other words, white magnets will result in a weak magnetic feeling.

Elasticity

Instead of the classic spring that sits within the screws, these springs have been put in plastic capsules that can easily be replaced to change the elasticity at will. With this system you no longer get the creaky sounds which sometimes appear when the spring moves towards the screw, which is a welcomed bonus. Three sets of springs are included with purchase. Red are the strongest, white medium and green the softest.
