X-Man Bell Magnetic Pyraminx V2
What’s different about X-Man Bell V2? The most significant change is the adjustable magnets you can read about in the paragraph below. But we also see quite a few other upgrades and changes from the first version, X-Man Bell. This Pyraminx is now smaller, with its sides measuring 91 mm, compared to the previous 96.5 mm. It is also 30 % lighter, weighing in at just 76 grams. It also has a unique shape, with its small indentations next to the top pieces. The purpose of these is to make it easier to turn specific pieces without unintentionally turning others by mistake. The tips are also slightly bigger to make them easier to handle. This in combination with its speed and stability makes for a very impressive Pyraminx. This is included in the box: 12 Extra magnets, a four-in-one tool (screwdrivers), instructions for adjusting and solving the pyraminx.
The adjustable magnets
Turn a layer 30 degrees (see the image gallery) and you’ll see the magnets. Next to each magnet is a small red screw head with three markings. Use the included screwdriver and turn the screw to one of the markings to adjust the magnet strength. ” – ” means weak, ” ○ ” corresponds to medium, and ” + ” means strong. Make sure you don’t turn the screw all the way around, just turn the screw slightly back and forth between the markings. To adjust the magnet strength in the tips, disassemble the tip and add one, two or three magnets on the preexisting magnet. For each magnet you add, the magnetic strength is increased. These magnets do not need to be glued onto the others, they will be held in place by the magnetic force. Twelve extra magnets are included for this purpose. The magnets help you pull the layers in their correct place, making the Pyraminx more controllable and stable.
