With the YJ MGC Evo II 3×3, we have one of the most peculiar releases of a flagship quality 3×3 cube we’ve seen in a very long time. The cube is the sequel to the YJ MGC Evo 3×3 that YJ released a little over a year earlier. Just like its predecessor, this cube is highly adjustable, with the ability to adjust both magnet and spring strength. In addition, the YJ MGC Evo II 3×3 retains the characteristic airy and fast feel of its predecessor. The cube has received mixed reviews just after its release, but maybe the peculiar feel is exactly what it takes to become your personal favorite?

The YJ MGC Evo II 3×3 has a very special look, with its specially shaped center pieces and the checkered texture between the pieces of the cube. The cube is easy to adjust; for example, you can use any small flathead screwdriver to select one of the six different magnet strengths. The cube is unusually stable for a 3×3 cube in the flagship category, which unfortunately has a negative impact on the cube’s ability to corner cut, where the cube has a hard time measuring up to its competitors.
The cube comes in a nice looking blue box, which in addition to the cube itself also contains a small kit with instructions and accessories.
