If you’re looking for a 4×4 in the lower end price range, then the MoFang JiaoShi Meilong 4×4 is a fantastic choice. Solves with this cube flow very well, even for those who are experienced at 4×4. This is because of the resistance to lock ups. The cube is decent at cutting corners, but does not quite match up to the pricier 4×4-cubes such as the Wuque, or Valk 4. The cube’s surfaces are slightly frosty instead of the classic plain surface we usually see. We at Cuboss consider this to be the absolute best 4×4-cube at this price range (2019-09), and we recommend this over the Cubing Classroom MF4 and Cyclone Boys 4×4.

This cube is great. It is smaller than a regular 4×4 so it was good for me with small hands. Its corner cutting is very good for a 4×4. I highly recommend this cube

Good beginner cube at a good price
This is where my first 4×4 was. Perfect beginner cube (and good guide on Cuboss as usual). If it’s speed you’re after, you’ll probably have to step up a few price ranges.

I gave 2 ** before, but I have lubricated it more and loosened the screws and then it is perfectly ok. Will certainly get used to it and be able to adjust even more on it. However, I still think that a cube for SEK 79 should be ready to solve. But it gets approved as it does not require too much of a reasonably experienced cuber to adjust it. If you go on a 4×4, you should have some XP. Had it been set better and ready for driving, I would have given it 4 stars. SO: 3 stars if you are used to it, 2 for a beginner who only wants a ready to drive 4×4.

Dry and stiff
My first 4×4 has nothing to compare with, but I like the matte look and it fits well in the hand. However, the factory setting is a disaster! Snuff dry and sandy feeling, a beginner’s cube should be lubricated. Extremely tightly screwed so it locks enormously. Can not cut corners just under 15 degrees right now, it is locked already at the corner piece! It locks immediately if you do not make perfect moves, even though you are slow. Far too much work for a budget cube, it should be ready to use in my opinion and it really is not. I have lubricated it now and it is still impossible. Some pieces of plastic have large gaps, I hope they do not come loose. Here you hardly get what you pay for in my opinion. Sorry NOT recommended as the first cube if you want a 4×4 ready to start.
