On a Troy 3D Star, the center pieces sit where the four colors meet, in the intersection of the two fused Pyraminxes that make up the puzzle. This means that a center piece of this cube actually has eight stickers! All other pieces also have at least two colors per piece, so figuring out where the pieces belong isn’t easy. The puzzle is not intended as a speedcube, but the turning quality is still definitely satisfactory. Keep in mind that what appear to be the tips of a Pyraminx on this puzzle are not meant to be turned individually, so don’t try to force it either. The Troy 3D-star is designed by Troy Robinson and produced in collaboration with Calvin’s Puzzle.

The Troy 3D-Star is a really cool shape mod of a 3×3. It looks like two Pyraminxes fused together, and it therefore only has four colors instead of six. Despite that, it can be solved exactly like a normal 3×3 cube. Don’t think you won’t get an extra challenge when you solve this puzzle though. On a Troy 3D-Star, the challenge lays more in figuring out where the individual pieces (which sometimes have four different colors each) actually belong.
