The light and airy feeling of the GAN 251 M can reveal a cheaper feeling in the quality when you first try it. But this is not the case. This is a very good 2×2 speedcube that will be appreciated by many. The GAN 249 V2 M has become very popular, but a common criticism with the cube has been the smaller size at 49 mm. This time GAN has went the opposite direction and instead of the standard 50 mm, this cube is 51 mm. We at Cuboss find this a great choice, and the extra millimeter does actually help, if you have larger hands, in terms of keeping control of the cube when turning at high speeds.
Just as one might expect from GAN, the GAN 251 M performs very well. Lock ups and corner twists are nigh non-existent, and it cuts corners well and is very fast. Just like GAN’s latest cubes, the GAN 251 M uses their patented Honeycomb-surface that gives it the classic GAN-feeling. Included with purchase of the cube are interchangeable springs (GES nuts), adjustment tools, and a storage bag from GAN.
We recommend GAN 251 M for those who prefer light and airy cubes with a strong magnetic feeling. If you prefer a heavier, more robust 2×2 then we recommend the Valk 2 M.
