The GAN 354 M V2 is a great speedcube from GAN. This cube continues the same style as the GAN 356 Air SM with their unique honeycomb-surface on the inside. This surface has been shown to work really well and turns feel silky smooth – even without lubricant.
The cube has a unique appearance with its black interior and the magnets are clearly visible in their transparent capsules when turning a layer. This doesn’t just give it a unique appearance, the capsules mean the magnets sit exactly where they should be. This improvement is significantly better compared to other magnetic cubes where the magnets have been glued by hand.
2020 the cube was updated to version two (V2). Now the puzzle has GANs numerical core. This means that instead of a screw there is a nut which you can easily screw by hand. The nut will click into place in steps. This is smart, since you can easily make sure that every side has the same tension and the cube will be well balanced. The surface of the cube has also been updated to a slightly frosted one. This means scratches won’t be as noticeable and the cube will look brand new for a longer period.
The rather strong magnets combined with the cube’s light and silky smooth feeling to it makes the cube feel a bit choppy when solving it slowly, therefore we recommend this cube for those who can solve it quickly!
