How to use Cuboss Speedcube lube
Thick, high viscosity lubricants last longer in the cube and you can use very small amounts to get a big effect. If you use larger amounts, you can make the cube slower and more controllable. Because the lubricant is thick, it does not spread as easily in the cube as light lubricants and needs to be applied correctly if you want to get lubricant in all the desired places in the cube. It is recommended to take pieces out of the cube and put a line of lubricant along the whole side of some pieces so that no surface is missed. Then the lubricant needs to be worked in by turning a lot or doing many solves in order for the lubricant to spread around to the rest of the cube.
Thin, low-viscosity lubricants allow a larger amount to be used in the cube without having to worry about the cube becoming too slow. If the viscosity is low enough, it is enough to simply drip lubricant between the pieces and scramble the cube again so that the lubricant spreads around the cube. The lubricant has a slightly shorter lifespan but is easier to use. It often fits well with larger cubes with more pieces because it spreads more easily among all the pieces. In addition, large cubes can easily become too slow, in which case it is good to use low viscosity lubricants.

Something we have noticed with other weighted systems we have tried is that they are unbalanced. For example, TheCubicles series Weight 1-5 are very good lubricants, but 1, 2 and 3 feel almost the same, and weight 4 & 5 are difficult to distinguish. Therefore, we have been careful to ensure that each step in the scale has a weight that gives a unique feeling and its own area of use. Note that our Weight 1 is approximately the same as TheCubicles Weight 1 and our Weight 5 is approximately the same as TheCubicles Weight 5. Our Weight 6 has a higher viscosity than any other lubricant that we offer.
