New system for the magnets – Three magnet strengths in a capsule
GAN 356 X was the first cube with a system that allows you to change the strength of the magnets without needing to disassemble the cube. This was done by including three interchangeable capsules with unique magnet strengths. The GAN 356 XS has the magnet strengths already built in the cube and no additional parts are necessary. You can find a capsule with a magnet on the side of the edge pieces. This capsule has three set modes where each one represents a certain magnet strength. The capsule is very easily access by simply turning a layer by 90 degrees. Then you can adjust the magnet with the tip of your finger. Simple!
New system for adjusting – No changing springs
With previous GAN-cubes, like the GAN 356 X, GAN Air SM and Air 2019, there were springs included in unique strengths (GES nuts). Now the resilience is adjusted with a single spring that can be tightened or loosened to change the elasticity. This is simply done with a tool that is included with purchase. You can also make the cube tighter or looser with a separate system. Traditionally this has been done by screwing a screw, but with GAN 356 XS this is done with just your hands. Both of these systems adjusts in steps, so you can easily get the same adjustment on all sides of the cube. Included with the cubes are illustrated instructions and descriptions written in English. The cube is set to a medium by default and already performs well right out of the box, if you don’t wish to adjust it.
The Cube as a whole
GAN 356 XS is the lightest flagship from 2019. The cube only weighs 67 grams! They have managed to do this by for example changing the metal core to a plastic one. The cube has a light and airy smooth feeling to it and the turns are smooth like butter. It is also one of the quietest cubes we’ve encountered. GAN 356 XS follows the trend of today and is exceptionally fast, almost making it hard to control. Despite this, with combination of the light weight, the cube remains stable and is of course adjustable to your preference. The cube is very resistant to corner twists and cuts corners well. As a whole this is an incredible speedcube that lives up to the expectations as a sequel to one of the best speedcubes that has ever been created, GAN 356 X.

Included with the cube is a storage bag, a transparent display box, a user guide for adjusting the cube, a GAN 356 XS trading card and a guide for solving the cube.

An absolutely AMAZING cube
The cube comes with great packaging that makes you feel that you are not opening just another speedcube. The packaging is great but even greater is what is inside. The Gan 356 XS is incredibly fast but very controllable. The adjustment system is great and easy to use. The cube has a soft feel and is very light so you can do long sessions without getting tired. I put some Cubicle silk into the cube and it got even better. The cube is great for anyone and it think it more then justifies it`s higher than normal prize.

This is a very nice cube! It does not weigh much but is very light so you do not get so tired in the hands and wrists of doing it (not me at least). It is easy to adjust the strength of the magnets, which is a big plus. By the way, it is easy to do at all, I am very happy with this and can highly recommend this cube! If I have to mention something negative, it is the plastic box that the cube is delivered in, it was very complicated to open, I think it took around ten minutes for me to get the cube out for the first time: D

Incredibly nice cube
A real lift compared to my previous cube (MoYu Aolong V2). My first cube with magnets and after testing with magnets I do not want to use one but in the future. Incredibly comfortable, sometimes you sit and play with it without solving, just because it is so comfortable. Bonus points for how easy it is to adjust the cube. Will probably buy one for my son in the future as well.

GAN XS, what a hell of a height! With its light weight and functional design, this cube beats all other cubes I have tested, and makes me want to pick up the cube as soon as I happen to walk past it. The feeling and weight make it very comfortable to use during long sessions. No tired fingers here! The surface, which can be a bit slippery at first, soon becomes more tangible but still retains the comfortable feeling. And with all the settings, it can be tailored to most preferences. The only negative would be the price if I have to name someone, but that’s what it is.5 / 5

This cube is not for everyone, as it is expensive, it should not be bought if you do not take 3×3 seriously. With that aside, it’s a fantastic cube. It is easy to be overwhelmed by all 72 unique combinations on the cube. There are 6 settings for elasticity, 4 for how tight the pieces are and 3 for the magnetic strength. This system is ingenious as you can get the settings evenly over the entire cube, which can not be achieved with a screw system. If you want to be sure to get a cube with settings you like, this is a very good choice. This is one of the very few cubes today where you can adjust the magnetic strength, elasticity and how tight the pieces are. The regulation is very simple with a tool that is included. It is very light in weight and to turn, which means that it does not put as much pressure on the hands and joints during longer sessions with the cube. The light weight and twist should some people with a more & quot; rough turning style & quot; watch out for as they may not be the qualities they want in a cube. Incidentally, it has good corner cutting and is stable with a stylish design. In my opinion, this is superior gan x. Gan x may have better corner cutting but it lacks the stability and the light weight as well as the twist that this has. If you choose this over gan x, you do not have to carry so many accessories with you, such as one way extra magnets for each setting. If you are willing to spend the money, I would say that this is one of the best cubes on the market. Feliks Zemdegs recently set a new world record with this, 5.53 ao5. Very impressed with this cube and looking forward to the goose’s next flagship. 5/5
