The LanLan Octahedron is not a speedcube, but it can corner cut to some extent. The turning quality is quite good, but can not be compared with today’s speedcubes. However, today there are no other options if you want to solve an Octahedron in this format. So for those of you who want to try something new, you have nothing to wait for!

This is kind of the 3×3 to the LanLan Skewb Diamond’s 2×2. It’s much more difficult to solve, I ended up spending around 8 times more time figuring out how to solve it. The store page’s warnings of this not being a speedcube are apt; it catches frequently, making it a bit annoying at times, but not so much as to make it frustrating. It does feel robust though, definitely not loose. Without the lockups, this would be a 5 star puzzle.
As a puzzle, it’s pretty fun, although the way I ended up doing it was a bit tedious. But that was probably my fault and not the puzzle’s 😀
