The ShengShou YuFeng 2×2 M is an innovative release from ShengShou. The cube has a magnetic core, similar to what has become increasingly popular on the best 3×3 cubes as of late. It gives the cube an unusually strong magnetic feel, something that helps you turn quickly and precisely. The turning feel is fast and a bit clacky. The ShengShou YuFeng 2×2 M comes in a stylish white box containing the cube and a box with accessories. The accessory box contains a guide, screwdriver and spare parts for the screws and the springs. You can use the included screwdriver to adjust how loose or tight the puzzle should be.
During our tests, we have noticed that it is extra important that the ShengShou YuFeng 2×2 M is properly lubricated to reach its maximum potential. This both makes the cube much quieter and reduces lock ups that can otherwise occur when you turn the cube quickly. Considering the natural speed and the strong magnets, even slightly heavier silicone-based lubricants work excellently in the puzzle. For example, we achieved good results after lubrication with Cuboss Weight 5.
