MoYu RS3M V5 3×3
MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 Standard
With this variant, you get the most important things you need in a good speedcube. When you open the box, you get a fast and well-adjusted cube that can be used immediately. If you feel no major need to tinker around with the settings of your speedcube, this is perhaps the perfect variant for you. Of course, this cube has pre-installed magnets between the edges and corners, making it easier for you to control the cube and turn it as quickly as possible. If you want to adjust how tightly the puzzle should be tightened, just lift off the cover on the center piece of all sides and use a regular screwdriver – it doesn’t get much simpler than that.
MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 Dual Adjustment
Naturally, this variant comes with the classic edge-to-corner magnets that have become standard on all really good speedcubes in recent years. The Cube doesn’t come with the repelling ring magnets that create frictionless suspension in the two slightly more expensive models, but don’t despair. The cube is naturally and already straight out of the box incredibly fast. If you don’t like excessively fast (and potentially difficult to control) speedcubes, this variant may actually be the perfect choice for you. In addition to magnetization, this cube (just like the other versions below) also comes with MoYu’s patented Dual Adjustment system. This system makes it easy to adjust both spring strength and how tightly the puzzle should be screwed down to find the perfect feel in your cube – a system you can read more about here.
MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 Dual Adjustment + Robot Stand
This is the same puzzle as the variant above, except you also get MoYu’s new stylish Robot stand with the purchase! Not only is the robot a fun and entertaining addition, but it also works great as a futuristic cube stand so that you can display your new MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 well in your cube collection.
MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 MagLev + Robot Stand
MagLev means that the usual suspension with metal springs has been replaced with two repelling ring magnets. One magnet thus levitates over the other magnet and provides a springy effect, which means that you avoid the friction between springs and washers and the cube becomes both faster and quieter. Additionally, it minimizes the risk of encountering the annoying squeaking sound that can occur between springs and metal in a speedcube without MagLev levitation. For the relatively short step up in price compared to the Standard variant, this will perhaps be the perfect version for those of you who want a really fast and good speedcube without it breaking the bank.
MoYu RS3M V5 3×3 Ball-Core UV + Robot Stand
The third version has what MoYu calls a Ball Core. There is a ball around the core where eight magnets are attached, facing the corner pieces. At the bottom of the corner pieces there are also magnets which are attracted to the magnets in the core. This provides two different functions. First, the cube gets a slightly stronger magnetic feel. In addition, the cube also becomes slightly more stable. This is the same system used in e.g. the GAN 11 – 14. Of course, this variant also has the MagLev system that the slightly cheaper intermediate variant has, but this model also includes a protective and attractive varnish on top of the plastic (UV coating). Quite simply a truly impressive flagship quality speedcube that can easily compete with puzzles twice as expensive.
Accessories
The cube comes with a robot-shaped cube stand (not the Dual Adjustment variant), cube guide, instructions, adjustment tool, and a screwdriver.
RS3M V5 + Recommended!
Just like its predecessor, the RS3M 2020, a somewhat weak magnetic strength in the cube has led us to release a plus-version. In this version, we add 24 magnets to the edge pieces to create a stronger magnetic feel. This makes the cube easier to control and gives it better stability.
RS3M V5 + (do it yourself)
Do you want to save money? Choose the do it yourself version. Then we send 25 extra magnets that you add to the edge pieces. To do this, you take apart the cube, then you take apart the edge pieces and put the extra magnets behind the magnets that are already attached to the piece. The magnet will attach itself without you needing any glue (due to its own magnetic power). NOTE. Be careful when taking apart and reassembling the cube so you don’t damage the pieces. Our warranty covers normal use of the cube, not damage that occurs when you modify it. To avoid damage, we recommend that you unscrew a screw to disassemble and reassemble the cube, so that you don’t have to press hard to get pieces in or out. Questions?
