When you solve a QiYi 2×2 Gear Cube, you have to think a little extra. Instead of turning layers, you turn corners. If you turn one corner, the rest of the corners will follow, but you can also pull apart two different layers so you can turn one side at a time. Then only half off the pieces are affected. To do that, you pull hard in opposite directions on two different layers. This puzzle is actually more difficult than a normal gear cube. NOTE: Handling this cube can be a bit fiddly and takes some time getting used to. As the cube consists of gears, there is a risk of breakage – be careful when turning it!
