Someone wants a stable cube, another wants a cube with a lot of flexibility. Which speedcube is the best cube for you? We have tried all the most popular 3×3 speedcubes today and taken speed, weight, stability, magnetic strength, suspension, corner cutting and sound level into account when creating our Quiz. This is how we get to the result
In the database we have 30+ of the most popular cubes today where we have noted the characteristics of each cube.
Speed - Since all the cubes we recommend here are speedcubes and thus are fast, we have only made the option fast or super fast. Super fast means that the cube stands out as faster than other popular speedcubes.
Weight – All cubes weighing 80 grams or more are classified as heavier speedcubes. We classify 79 grams and below as lighter speedcubes.
Stability – We have divided the cubes into stable or flexible depending on the feeling in the cube.
Adjustable magnet strength – All the cubes in this Quiz are magnetized, which is the option we recommend if you are going to buy a speedcube. By default, speedcubes tend to have a comfortable medium magnetic strength that suits most people. However, on some cubes you can adjust the magnetic strength, so you can choose to have a weaker or stronger magnetic feel.
Adjustable springs – On some cubes today, you can adjust the strength/elasticity of the springs.
Corner cutting – All the speedcubes in this quiz corner cuts well. By that we mean that they corner cut at 45 degrees. “Extreme” corner cutting we classify the cubes that cut corners over 45 degrees. In other words, your cube will corner cut well even if you don’t choose extreme.
Sound level – Is the cube loud when turning? We have tried all the cubes by turning them really fast and listened to the sound level. Then we have divided one half into the cubes that were quiet and the other half into the cubes that were not quiet.
