The YJ MGC 2×2 is a cube with incredible potential. Despite having such a low price for being a magnetic speedcube, it still performs well in all aspects and we definitely believe this will be a cube that even the elite will pick up on. The cube feels very well balanced and suits beginners as well as experts at the 2×2, and we strongly recommend it.
YJ is previously known for releasing budget cubes, and this is the first time they’ve tackled a 2×2 with a slightly higher price tag. YJ has created their first 2×2 flagship with the YJ MGC 2×2, and the cube is built for high-level speedcubing. The YJ MGC is very well balanced and doesn’t stick out as the most flexible, fastest or lightest cube. Instead this lies in the middle of the spectrum, which means it doesn’t feel too fast nor too slow, too loose nor too tense. This means the cube will suit most speedcubers and is easily well-liked despite any preferences. Of course the cube is still adjustable and aspects such as speed is possible to change with lubricant.

My son is very happy with this 2x2: he can solve it in 2-4 seconds using the Ortega method. Pretty easy to set up (he just adds a drop of silk when needed), so for intermediate speedcubers is a very affordable and enjoyable cube.
