Finally we can offer a 5×5 Pyraminx again, this in the form of the affordable ShengShou 5×5 Pyraminx! As usual with ShengShou, this is a big and awesome looking puzzle with a good combination of price and quality. Given the complicated internal mechanism, the layers slide relatively easily against each other, although lubrication is a must for the puzzle to perform at its best. To improve stability, this puzzle has also received an innovative “magnetic system” in the form of plastic “ball bearings”! These are small plastic pieces that slide up and down from drilled holes in the opposite layer – an excellent way to keep the cost down so that more people have the opportunity to try a difficult challenge like a 5×5 Pyraminx.
