The Rubik’s Cube (3×3) will always be our best seller here at Cuboss. It is a timeless toy and puzzle that has enchanted over half a billion people since it was released over 40 years ago.
When it comes to fast Rubik’s Cubes intended for competition (so-called speedcubes), we have almost a hundred different variants in our shop. It is not entirely easy to know which one to buy, so in this post we have picked five of our top recommendations (in no particular order).

MoYu RS3M V5
MoYu continues to dominate the sport of speedcubing, and is the company that has the most popular 3×3 cubes in our shop. Their most affordable variant is the MoYu RS3M V5. The puzzle comes in five different variants where you can choose exactly what features you are looking for. The standard variant is only €9, while the “Dual Adjustment” version is fully adjustable in both screw tightening and spring strength. For those of you who want a really affordable puzzle for competition, the most expensive variant is equipped with both a magnetic core for extra stability and UV coating for a shiny layer that protects against scratches.

X-Man Tornado V4
This is the sequel to the super popular X-Man Tornado V3. The puzzle builds on the quiet and smooth feel that the V3 has become known for. The reinforced core houses the same dual adjustment system that stands out for being very effective and easy to use. The puzzle comes in a more affordable “Flagship” variant with springs for extra control and a more expensive “Pioneer UV” variant with repelling ring magnets in the core for extra speed and an innovative magnet system with extra magnets in the edge pieces for extra stability.

MoYu WeiLong V11
The MoYu WeiLong V11 is the most important release from MoYu in 2025. This cube is set to be their most popular among those looking for a mid-range competition level cube and will not disappoint. The cube is lightning fast with good performance on all levels. With a well-calibrated magnetic strength and a dual adjustment system, it suits a wide range of cubers. With four variants, it has something for everyone, where our favorite “8 BC Spring” combines a magnetic core and springs for increased control and a more comfortable turning feel.

GAN 16 Max
When GAN releases their flagship puzzle of the year, it’s Christmas Eve for many speedcubers. With the GAN 16 Max, GAN lived up to the high expectations. With a new design of the internal mechanism, the cube delivers a better and more pop-safe turning feel. The cube has a whopping 124 magnets pre-mounted in completely new places in the cube, which also contributes to the wonderful stability and feel that truly breathes GAN. Just like usual with flagships from GAN, magnets, center travel and spring strength are adjustable, and the scratch-resistant layer of UV coating contributes to the luxurious feel.

MoYu Super WeiLong V2
This is the cube that MoYu wants to compete with GAN to be the most luxurious on the market. The cube is best described as a refined version of the MoYu WeiLong V11, with a more stable turning feel and slightly higher performance. In addition, MoYu has managed to squeeze in what the V11 lacks, a smart adjustment system that actually adjusts the magnetic strength in both the core and the pieces at the same time! But good things don’t come cheap, and it must be admitted that it is difficult to argue that the cube lives up to the almost doubled price tag.
