Simple 2 Look OLL Algorithms

2-look-oll-line

Once you have mastered 2 Look PLL, learning 2 Look OLL is a natural next step to finish of the 4 Look Last Layer method for solving the last layer of your 3×3 cube in just 4 straight forward steps. While the number of algorithms are greater than the amount for 2 Look PLL, the individual algs are shorter and easier to memorize, meaning that learning the ten total cases isn’t too difficult.

FAQ

First recognize one of three different cases and use the correct algorithm to orient the upper layer edges to create a cross. Then, there are seven different cases for orienting the corners of the last layer to end up with a completely oriented top layer of your cube, finishing the 2 Look OLL step of your solve.

We highly recommend learning all ten cases. Not only does that ensure that you can always solve each case you run into in just one algorithm, but since the algs are short, easy to memorize and are similar to one another sharing a lot of their characteristics, learning them all is easier than you might think.

Not neccesarily! Most likely, these algs are either the exact same or very similar to the ones taught below. In case you already know how to solve some of these cases, feel free to learn the other cases first to maximize progress.
