Shape shifters are, in short, cubes that change shape. Most often it is because the pieces have different sizes and thus the puzzle loses its shape when a small piece changes place with a larger piece. The most common shape shifter is the Mirror blocks, which is a variant of the classic Rubik's cube, where the only difference is that you work with shapes instead of color.
