The DaYan FTO M Ball Core is delivered in a silver box containing the puzzle and a set of spare springs for those of you who wish to experiment with the spring strength of the puzzle. The tightening is adjusted just as usual with a classic screwdriver. The puzzle itself is larger than the DianSheng FTO M, but still fits the hands very well. When you start turning your DaYan FTO M Ball Core, you immediately notice that there is a big difference in quality between the puzzles. Right out of the box, this FTO is smoother, faster and with an airier feel. The magnets that are mounted both in the pieces and in the core provide improved stability and contribute to the wonderful feeling. Finally, the icing on the cake is that the DaYan FTO M Ball Core is much more pop resistant than its predecessors on the FTO market – no more annoying pops and explosions to assemble!

Wonderful smooth feel and unique, enjoyable solve. I consider its performance to be on par with other decently developed wca hardware, and it easily beats all non-wca puzzles I own. One minor nitpick is that mine has a very slight catch in one of the pieces. Only barely noticeable when fiddling with it, and has been irrelevant in actual solves.
