The GAN 356 RS 2 3×3 is a high-performance speedcube with an upgraded mechanism from GAN. The cube is a modern version of the GAN 356 RS with many of the latest technologies from their more luxurious cubes, for example “dual adjustment“. GAN’s cubes have been among the most popular cubes in recent years, but they have also often been on the more costly side. Although this cube is not magnetic, the GAN 356 RS 2 3×3 is still a perfect choice for those who want to be economical but still try a modern speedcube from GAN.

The GAN 356 RS 2 3×3 is a good choice for those looking for a modern speedcube that doesn’t cost too much. At the turn of the year 2024, the cube has received several upgrades in mechanism and functions compared to the GAN 356 RS, and thus performs very well. One criticism with many of GAN’s recent puzzles has been the high price. With the GAN 356 RS 2 3×3, it has been reduced by, among other things, not including extra GES nuts. Instead, they have chosen GAN’s new system for “dual adjustment” in budget cubes, which thus makes it possible to adjust tightening and spring strength without replacing any components. The cube also has a frosted surface, which means that small scratches are not as clearly visible and the cube looks new for a longer period.

Have finally bought myself a speedcube, the choice was between a Valk 3 and this one. Since the Valk 3 is smaller than standard, I decided on this one, which follows the standard dimensions.
My first impression straight out of the box is that it is very "sloppy" and unstable. This is because I am used to some cheaper version of the Rubik's cube. After playing with it for a while, I quickly got used to the feel of a speedcube. I really like this cube (as I said, it was my first speedcube, so can't compare it to other speedcubes). It runs easily and nicely, cornercuts very well.
