The GAN i4 3×3 is a smart cube from the speedcube manufacturer and luxury brand GAN. This is a cube that you connect to your phone via Bluetooth to, among other things, be able to compete with other cubers online. The cube tracks every move you make and displays them on the screen. With the built-in gyroscope, the app even tracks the rotations you make on the cube! With this tracking of the cube, it has been possible to create a lot of smart functions such as:

GAN i4 3×3 as a Speedcube
As a speedcube, the GAN i4 is what you can expect from GAN, which today manufactures the most luxurious competition cubes on the market. The cube is definitely meant to be speedsolved and this is a top class speedcube. It is fast, stable and cuts corners very well. Of course, it is magnetic, which means that small strong magnets inside the cube pieces help you put the layers in place. The magnetic ball core adds one more layer of stability. The cube also has a dual adjustment system, which allows you to easily adjust both tightening and spring strength (perceived speed) in six and twelve steps respectively! Since it has a battery inside, it is slightly heavier than GAN cubes usually are.
GAN i4 3×3 as a Smart cube
GAN i4 3×3 is rechargeable and it comes with a charging station with a USB-C socket. Wall charger and cord not included. The cube’s battery lasts for up to 30 hours of use with all functions + gyroscope activated or up to 200 hours in “battery saving mode”. With a ten-minute quick charge, you can get up to 10 hours of use. GAN also has a smart cube that is not rechargeable, but instead runs on a replaceable battery that lasts about 150 hours. The app
The app used for the cube is called “CubeStation” and can be downloaded for free for Android and iOS. The app and instructions are available in English and Chinese. We also want to warn you that the app is not very intuitive and it can be a little difficult to get started. But once you get going, the GAN i4 is a very good smart cube. Even for those who solve the Rubik’s cube in less than 10 seconds, you can count on the virtual cube always keeping up. This, in conjunction with the fact that the cube is as well-performing as a speedcube, means that the GAN i4 is a better choice than other smart cubes when it comes to just solving fast. Very good. Others have written that the app is very poor and unintuitive. But I don't notice it. It works fine to use. As for the cube, it's fantastic. Battery life lasts a week of hard cubing every day without draining.

This is unbelievably bad for a Gan. No feeling at all in the twists. It is slow and has locks. The app is so-so.
What it is reasonably good at is helping the inexperienced with creating starting points for learning new algorithms.
Decent for the beginner. Case for speedcubing.
If you want speedcuba, go for something cheaper and better without smart features.
