Been cubing 10 years and this is my favorite 3x3. Completely effortless to turn and has made the event so much more fun to practice. May be a little too fast for some people’s liking but I’m sure it can be slowed down with some heavier lubes.

I’m really pleasantly surprised by the direction Qiyi is going in with the X-Man series; the V5 is light (compared to the brick that was the V4), flexible, and extremely adjustable. I’ve had no recurring lockup issues and the cube responds well to lube. I must say that out of the box, the cube was completely uncontrollable and needed to be tightened considerably, so watch out for that (this seems to be a constant with today’s cubes). The adjustment system is unfortunately not that easy to use and I miss the V4’s handle, but these are minor details. The cube overall is excellent and no worse than any other flagship (in my opinion, even marginally better). Definitely recommended.
